Anyone know what this condition is called?

It's like a headache behind the eye, but in my opinion, it's worse than an actual headache. It happens about once or twice a month, and all it is a pain behind the eyeball. I took some Tylenol and usually it helps but today it's not helping at all. I asked my optometerist a couple of months ago about it and he had no idea wtf I was talking about. I've got an appointment with the doc today so maybe he might know

Headache? Migrane?

If you've got an appointment with the doctor, why the hell are you asking us

More posters need to listen to this, if you don't like a post, don't answer. It will fall to the bottom.

I get this same thing happening at least once a month. I'm guessing mine is caused by eyestrain since I work with computers and stare at a monitor all day long. Other than that I'd guess what some other people have said with it being a sinus headache.

I dont think it's a sinus headache, it says one webmd that the pain would be focused around the nose and cheekbones, nothing BEHIND the eye. slickcat, I'm staring at a monitor for most of the day too, so I wouldn't rule eyestrain out either.

In case you missed it, I also made a suggestion in response to your question.

I was just questioning the need to ask if you knew you were going to a professional later on today.

It's a build up of pressure caused by too much forum usage. If you read any posts by skywalker66 or user1234 or venture into P&N, your head will surely explode.

optometrists are limited in certain conditions they can diagnose. They can determine your prescription or things like cataracts, but other serious stuff you need an opthalmologist

I think migranes/sinus headaches are usually more severe. Whenever I get one it feels like my teeth and eyes are going to explode.
