Anyone know what port #111is used for?

It's strange, but I have Zone Alarm installed and, outside of my own testing, I've never gotten even a single alert. I feel so neglected.

I'm thinking that the no alert problem might be that they'd have to get through the Cisco 675 and the Linksys BEFSR41 first.🙂

No firewall offers absolute protection, not even REAL ones (which these routers aren't), which is why I also run Zone Alarm, and password protect all my shares.

Better solution would be to nuke the shares all together. Stuff like zonealarm and blackice are only as good as their updates.

Don't know, but that server is on a completely different subnet from the rest of the systems, and the box ain't running Windows.
