Anyone know what light colors are illegal in new york state?

I was going to buy some blue neon lights to go around my license plates from JC whitney, only it mentions on the site that some colors are illegal in some states... I Don't think I'd ever get pulled over for having them on my truck, but better safe than sorry. So does anyone know?

I don't think the lights are legal in NY at all, but I don't think it's very enforced either.

Many states outlaw red exterior lighting (with the exception of brake/taillights/marker lights) reserving those exterior colored lights for emergency vehicles.

Thanks Sluggo... I wouldn't think exterior lights would be outlawed other than Red... but you never know... Good thing I want blue...

The lights are all illegal, as well as, license plate covers. I know first hand, I was pulled over for having a clear cover on my plate. The Trooper was a real A$$, but I won in court, .

I think the cops want to reserve the blue lights for themselves, so they might pick on you. Besides, blue neon licence frame light even sounds ugly to me. Why would you do something like that?
