I'm wondering if it is actually the 882d chip with dolby digital live support? The anandtech article clearly states 882d is the chipset. But the abit product page says nothing about dolby digital live support. In addition the comparison page on the abit site does not state dolby live either. If you look at aw8d, dolby master studio support is written pretty clearly. Anyone know what's the deal here?

Odd. Abit also has a press release where they list the AB9 and AB9-Pro with the 882D chip. But the US site doesn't show anywhere that the AB9 models have Dolby support, even the manual doesn't mention it. Very few results in Google include AB9 and 882D though, and there aren't any handy pictures I can find, very few sites reviewing it.

I will confirm with Abit on the US retail boards but our sample fully supports Dolby Digital Live.

Great, thank you for the help. This is the last part I'm waiting to purchase for my new system. I really hope the board includes dolby because this will make a great htpc/router/nas.
