A number of years ago I repaired a porcelain bowl using super glue and it did a decent job, but there is one piece I couldn't fit and now I know how to fix it. Problem is that since I used super glue, I can't dissolve the glue the easy way. I'm assuming acetone would do the job, but I wanted to know if there was anything else that might do a better job, ect.

I don't think you're going to find anything that isn't pretty harsh that will remove it.

acetone is the best. I'm sure gasoline, toulene and xylene would also do a fine job. :p

non-acetone nail polish remover is made with ethyl acetate, which won't dissolve it.

Why don't you want to use acetone? It leaves no residue when it evaporates.. no residual smell, etc.. It really is the best option.

I have a Ross Superglue kit that had a tube of superglue remover. Says the ingredient is nitromethane

lol.... Last time I checked, you couldn't walk into just about any store that carries hardware type stuff and pick up some nitromethane, though. :p

no, but Home depot sells 5 gallon drums of MEK. Seriously. :p That is almost a good idea. And we used to sell the crap out of it.

Thanks for the advice yall. I'll experiment with all the options before trying one out on the bowl. Always nice to have options ;)

Normally I'd recommend Wolf Spittle, but lately I have been totally dismayed at the poor quality.

Any hobbyshop will carry RC fuels up to ~65% Nitro. ;)
