I have been having this problem for a while and just have a couple of ps2 keyboards hooked to the machines for bios config and raid config etc.
I am tired of having all this stuff laying around though and want to get rid of the ps2 keyboards. The kvm is fine once windows loads but 95 % of the time will not recognize anything during boot such as del or ctrl+f and so on.I have gone into the Abit's IC7 bios and set to let the bios handle the keyboard but then windows locks up at loading.
System:
Win Xp pro
Antec true 430W
Abit IC7 with latest released bios
P4 2.8c
2 X 512mb twinmos pc3700
WD 80 gb se primary hd
fasttrack raid with two 30gb deskstars:evil: recorded video storage
ATI radeon 9500np softmodded to 9700
liteon cdrw 52x24x52
Pioneer dvd-rw dvr-105
Logitech usb keyboard
Intellimouse exp 3.0 usb
lexmark z-45 usb printer
epson stylus cx5200 multifunction
Iogear miniview III 4 port kvm
and a few other odds and ends but thats probably plenty for evaluation 🙂
Anyone know what can be done to fix this problem ?
