Anyone know what are the best multimedia speakers in the <300$ range?

I'm looking to buy some new speakers for my computer, and I probably won't have any time to do some listning comparasions, as I will only be in the U.S for two weeks. So what I am basically asking is what speakers would you reccomend? I'm looking for either 4.1 or 5.1 with or without a dolby digital decoder.

The two speakers I've seen that look pretty good in this price range are the Klipsch Promedia 4.1 and the Midiland 7100 Plus. Anyone heard them both? Which is better in terms of quality? I should say that I use my computer for almost everything, as I live in Israel where the Home Theater stuff costs a lot of money (and I'm only 18 :)). So I watch DVDs, listen to music and play games on the computer, so a speaker that has good quality on all of them is important. So please help me know which speakers to get to replace my damn Cambridge FourPointSurround 1000s!

Edit:
I just saw that the Midiland 8200s are in the <300$ range. Anyone heard them? How do they sound?
I have a 300$ limit. I'm thinking that I'll either get the Klipsch 4.1s or the Midiland 8200s, or I'll get the Midiland 7100s and replace my sound card (SBLive Value) with either the Hercules Game Theater XP or the Turtle Beach Santa Cruz. What would you guys reccomend?

Shame you are on a limited timeframe as Klipsch has the 5.1s coming out soon. I hear the Midilands are great, never have heard them myself.

Even if I wasn't on a limited timeframe, the 5.1s would cost at least 100$ more, and that puts me over the 300$ price range (even though it isn't me that's buying the system, it's my dad, and it's a "You finished high school (Yay! :D)" and "You're off to the army (Darn! :()" present. What can I say, I got good negotiation skills. Heck, I even convinced my mom to pay for the tattoo I'm gonna do soon! :))

Sorry, I saw the ">300$" thinking you meant to spend at least $300

I have the original v2.400 Promedias and I have never regretted buying these speakers. I think you would be happy with the Klipsch 4.1s, but this is my biased view as I have never heard the Midilands.

Bring you favorite music and listen to them both. If music rocks then the
games will too. I don't think you can go wrong with either, but my Klipsch
4.1's kick ass!

uhm, the klipsh just aren't worth the money, especially when u can grab a set of midiland 7100 plus for ~3/4 the price...

i'm in love with the 7100 plus system - 5.1 sounded sick, 4.1 downmix sounded sick, and dolby virtualization sounded sick, and i love the ADS3000 - it's extremely easy to set-up - just a bunch of rca plugs from the speakers to ADS box w/ coax/optical in....
