Anyone know what a legal upgrade version of Win2k would cost?

I'm running Win98se right now and I really don't care for it. I'm looking to upgrade to Win2k or even XP perhaps. What would it cost me for an upgrade package to either of these OS'es? I'm just an average home user not on a network so that isn't too important to me. At work I run Win2k and like it much better than 98se that I run at home.
