Am just curious at what the Xbox rips CD songs to......I know they rip them in .wma format but have no clue what bitrate they are at.

My guess (pulling this # out of my ass) is 192 kbps. The Xbox only has 8 GB of space, so the bitrate couldn't be too high or it would fill up before you'd know it.

Still waiting for someone to figure out the key to the Xbox HD format, so we can put 40+ GB hard drives in there. :)

If is sounds good when you play it back, who really cares what bitrate it is? You're not going to be burning a disc from your XBOX ripped songs...

royaldank- well I for one do. I ripped a few songs and played them and they kind of sounded like ass.

like 64 bitrate ass. :)

Yeah I am positive that it is in .wma format...just would like to know the bitrate.

well the best reason they would have for using their own format.. mp3 royalties:p that fraunhoffer company(i can't spell) :p
