Anyone know the specs of a PS2 cooling fan?

Redneckin' my computer (finally ditched the old crappy Aquarius II and got a new SLK948U...and i LOVE how quiet it is) and throwin' a few spare fans in. Have what seems to be a decent quality 60 mm fan that I ripped out of a playstation 2 but I'm having trouble finding information on it. Got the damn thing zip-tied in front of my HDD cage but it's making a horrible racket (rather like an f-22 nearing sonic flight speeds). Not sure whether it's getting higher voltage than intended (need resistor, perhaps?) or whether it doesn't like the "grille" in front of the cage or what.

Any suggestions are appreciated.

umm the ps2 fan is kinda loud, that's just me though....why not use a 80mm fan?

Simply because I don't have one lying around. Then again, I'll have a heck of a time fitting a standard-thickness 80mm fan where I've got this lil ah heck jammed ATM. May search for a low profile fan when I order my new HDD (damn Maxtor is on its last leg).

As far as noise, when coming down from an Aquarius II with a water pump that was noisier than my neighbor's no-exhaust-havin' pickup, just about anything is quiet to me lol
