Anyone know the return policy of Best Buy?

i've got a few sealed games that i dont want anymore (no, i didnt steal them). anyway i dont have a receipt for them, do you think best buy would take them back for store credit? or any other store for that matter?

Technically, no receipt, no return. BUt it depends on who you talk to, what mood they are in, etc. I'd try walmart or something over BestBuy.

If you don't have a receipt but it has a BB tag, they'll be more inclined to be generous. If it doesn't, you probably ain't gettin shit.

If you can prove you brought it there, they will take it back.

If you didn't actually buy it from them, you cannot take it back.

If you did buy but paid cash, you cannot take it back.

If you did buy and paid with a charge card, they can pull a copy of the receipt and they will take it back.

If you're just trying to get them to buy something that you never bought from them, well go to a market and buy some lobsters and stick them in your pants. Remove the clawbands first.

They are definitely assholes for not wanting to accept a return on an item that wasn't bought there.

As a BB employee I can tell you that if you paid by cash they won't give you anything back. If you paid by check/credit then they can bring up your receipt and they will probably take it back.

If you paid by cash you better hope the Media Sup. is in a good mood that day. 🙂
