Anyone know the organization that flies sick people for cheap?

My wife said she has seen commercials on TV every so often for some organization of pilots that donate their time and planes for transporting people who are too sick to fly commercially or drive. Anyone happen to know what she's talking about?

Her mom is very sick and is in FLorida and they are trying to get her home but every time they are about to leave she gets very anxious and ends up in the hospital. If anyone knows what this organization is, please let me know.

Specifically one in the Milwaukee, WI area since that's where they are trying to get home to.

make a wish. also I remember reading how IBM and a few other big corprations would use the company jet to fly people around in situations like this. might be worht looking into.

This isn't really for someone terminally ill with a disease (cancer, leukemia, etc) it's just for someone who's old, has smoked forever and has bad health now, etc. Does Make-A-Wish help with people like that?

Specifically we were told of an organization that all they do is shuttle people around with health problems but I'm pretty sure it wasn't m-a-w.

Angel flight. or somethine to that effect. The offer seats on corporate aircraft that might otherwise go unused.

Sounds like the anxiety is making her too ill to travel? How would getting an outside organization help that, are you thinking they have specialized counselors or something? (Just curious)

They would basically drug her up a bit to get her through the flight. Much quicker than the 36 hr trip back with a full van and a full trailer.
