no firsthand experience on a 733eb. The 733eb runs on a 133 mhz bus with a 5.5 multiplier, so ther is not much overhead room left. I have a 550e which also runs on the 5.5 multiplier, I can get it stable at 796 mhz & get it into windows at 804mhz on my Asus P3V4X. I need 1.8+ volts to do that & it gets real hot even with a golden orb & 2 case fans. Getting it in the 790's is probably the best you could expect (142 - 146 mhz bus), without extreme cooling. There is no guarentee to overclocking. I have a P3 500e in my other system that will not even post at 560mhz (112mhz bus).

The PIIIEB's aren't good candidates for OCing. As they run on the 133 Mhz FSB right out of the box, that leaves only 17 Mhz between 133 and 150 Mhz. And all FSB's above 133 are far from a lead pipe cinch. PIIIE's OTOH, have plenty of room above the 100 Mhz Front Side Bus for OCing. At least in theory!

It's simple, if you intend to overclock, don't buy anything with a 33 or a 67 in it, or an EB at the end. :Q

You can get a P3 700 at Onvia(no, I don't work there:)) for under $215 with the $25 coupon. Now there's a great overclocking candidate!

Just my $.02.;)
