Anyone know the joke behind "Lance Vance"?

I was playing GTA: VC and in the mission "Phenom Penh '86", and Tommy and Lance talk about Lance having the name "Lance Vance".
Tommy asks Lance what his full name is and Lance tells him, it's "Lance Vance". Tommy remarks on that name, and Lance says "Yeah I got a lot of it at school".

Is there a joke behind the name Lance Vance or it means something else? I am really confused.
