I've seen several computer news sites announcing samsung's new dead pixel policy, which started on january 1st.. apparently they'll replace any screen with 1 or more dead pixels..
However, then I saw another link which suggested this is only applicable in Korea.
Samsung's website states that it's around 8 dead pixels for a 17-19" LCD before it will qualify for replacement, though I suppose this could be out of date information.
Does anyone know what the real deal is with this? Alternatively, I heard monitorsdirect.com offered a zero tolerance dead pixel replacement too, although their website seems to be down.. anyone know of another retailer who offers this?
thanks
