Anyone know the best tools to do this....

Does anyone know what kind of software most magazine publisher used to draw those fancy 3D-looking pictures, suck as 3D block diagram, picture that visualize the internal construction of a chip, layout, and etc?

I think most places use Photoshop to do the images and PageMaker to do the layout.

If you could post a link to an example might be able to help you better...

If its something 3D, its probably done in a commercial 3D rendering package, like 3D Studio MAX, Maya or Softimage.
