I was looking to switch drives with a family member, but need to copy the drive(OS and all) as an exact copy. Any good software for that?

What brand HD do you have? Most HD manufacturers have s/w that will do this for you on thier website. For example, Maxtor has this utility called MaxBlast that you can d/l from their website. Hope this helps.

Norton Ghost or PowerQuest DriveImage... and I think they DriveCopy now too. I like Ghost because you can fit their application and boot disk on one floppy. PowerQuest requires two. I just find Ghost more flexible... I was able to migrate my 17 gig 5400rpm Maxtor to a 30 gig 7200 Quantum yesterday under one hour. Ghost 2002 will let you dynamically re-size your partition when you are copying the entire drive. Just had to disable the Maxtor, then set the quantum as my primary.

Seagate, Maxtor, and WD HD's come with their software that can do that if one of their HD's is plugged on the PC, or you can download it for free at their website.
