My church is trying to set up an audio system for the children's church. They're looking for a way to switch 3 RCA stereo inputs and be able to adjust the volume using a remote.

I've found IR-capable A/V switches, but none of them can adjust the output volume.

Right now the solution is to buy a cheap stereo receiver and use the pre-amp output.

I feel that there has to be a better solution, but I can't think of one.

JDub02,

It all depends on how much the church is willing to spend. Yes, you can get away with a stereo reciever but, it will always be a home audio setup. (Not too professional in my opinion) Give these guys a call and check out the web site for the MANY different pieces of equipment that can be installed. Even though you do not purchase directly from them, Extron is an awesome company to work with and is very eager to help.

Extron

The do NOT sell directly to consumers, you need a professional licensed AV installer to purchase the equipment and resell to you if you want to do the install. Or you can let a installer do it.

A simple setup like that should be well under $3000 but I have always had projection systems installed as well. If you live in the NE I have some contacts.

Gand1,

Thanks for the link. I'll check into it. I agree that the using a HT receiver is very unprofessional .. that's my biggest complaint with it. They just spent alot of money remodeling the children's church (10' rear projection screen, powered bleachers, climbing wall), why throw a weak link into the audio system?
