Anyone know of any real cool weather tracking applications?

I was hoping to get a weather tracking application that can give me both my local weather, predictions for the week, all that normal stuff, but also stuff like real-time tracking of weather (if that's possible) on a map of the world (you know, like watching a storm move slowly).

If that's not possible, then a decent app for weather in Windows 7 would be nice anyway, I was just hoping to spice it up a bit.

Also, unrelated, but is there a program or something that will allow my desktop PC to keep track of someone on a map through the GPS functionality on an iphone or something like that? Like I'll have a friend turn it on, and just keep track of where they're going in real-time, does that sort of thing exist for the average consumer?

It wasn't realtime forecasting or anything, but I remember using google earth with some weather maps/radar plugins. It was pretty damn cool. This was a couple years ago, so I'm sure there's more/newer plugins available.
