Anyone know of any no-grenade BF2 servers ?

So I just jumped back into BF2 (for the 10th time) and I see things anit changed, nade fest as it always was ...lol


Anyone know of a good no-grenade servers ?

Yea, thats why I stopped playing Vanilla BF2 and went to Project Reality.

Join a squad with medics, problem solved.

A no nade sever would be weaksauce.

Any modded servers like that run the chance of your stats getting reset.

The infantry only servers are what ruined that game for me. I have no idea why you would ever want to play with just pure infantry. When it first came out, there was no way to filter out these servers and there were tons of them.

seriously? easy. Because vehicles got old quick and in some cases a bit overpowering at times. Planes raped, etc. Not that vehicles is bad, I like both No Vehicles and Vehicle servers. Personally, I prefer No Infantry because it adds more to the game. Better team work is needed to capture and defend... solo or squads are amplified... i can literally go on. I don't see your reasoning.

Either way, it is possible to filter them. Gernades are part of the game, just the same as Claymores. You may hate it but its a kill to some. Here's a tip, don't stay in 1 area taking nades.

If you're disgusted by nade spammers... they can be dealt with. They're looking for easy high % kills. Just don't go in those areas and flank them.

Like it or not nades are a valid tactic.

Dont play Karkand. Really.

Either play in the rotating map servers like FCW or get the various exp packs.

Bah. The game wasn't made to be a completely on foot FPS. It has horrible hit detection and the maps are really large. It just turned into massive nade spam since there was always a ton of support running around to distribute ammo. That coupled with a ton of medics to magically bring people back to life = :thumbsdown: The AT class is there for a reason. The game was designed with vehicles them in mind and frankly, it's a totally lame game without them.

Have you ever played an Infantry Only game where it wasn't Wake Island?

Have you played any map beyond Karkland? How about Special Forces maps? heard of Warload? Or even night maps?

You are right, the game was initially designed and developed for vehicle + foot, nevertheless, war isn't always involving vehicles. AT in a Infantry Only server is still a good choice. With SF, you get the grappling hook. You have any idea the amount of damage you can do with your AT on the roof tops?

Something tells me you're playing the wrong maps, in the wrong 64+ servers. Look at 32 max, in anything but Karkland.

FYI. Karkland = nade spam.
