Anyone know of any heatsinks...

That have the fan facing the back of the case? Kind of like Thermaltake's "Silent Tower," or better yet, their Intel BTX one (which imo looks much better than the flashy Silent Tower). They must be able to fit A64 939s. Man if TT's BTX heatsink was able to fit K8s I would buy one immediately. Laugh at me but I love how it looks (PLAIN and SIMPLE!).

Anyway, thanks!

WHOA! EW!

According to Tom's the thing is terrible. Haha but yeah at least you guys know what I'm talking about 🙂 I'm looking for something a little more soft on the eyes, like kinda like a box. I figure I could get TT's Silent Tower and make my own shroud out of foam board or something.

It looks nice, but I'm kinda wavy about that fan setup they got going there. I'd like to be able to replace fans and whatnot. I hear Arctic Cooling makes good processor heatsinks.

The CM Hyper 6 is a good tower HS, it's also who TT ripped off. Just be aware the fan is not very good so you will want to replace it if you care about noise.

The linked Arctic Cooler or the mentioned Thermaltake would both work nicely, especially with a homebrew shroud.

Hmm looks like everyone loves the CM Hyper 6, only problem is that it's 80mm fan only.

I was poking around TT's website when I ran into the "Big Typhoon," TT's ripoff of the XP120. Well since it was TT, I had to look up a few reviews, but it turns out that the thing is a beast. Cools pretty much just as well as the XP120, and is designed to fit all motherboards (the heatpipes and fins are higher up so they don't run into any capacitators). The most amazing part is that it uses a very quiet fan (TT claims its only 16 dba, but I wouldn't be surprised if it were 25) to do the same job that a 35 dba Panaflo would do on an XP120. Only problem is that its like 800g whereas the XP120 is like 300g.

I think the optimal hsf for me though would have to be a large, 120mm vertical heatsink, with the fan pointed directly towards the rear exhaust. I'd get perfect airflow within the case, and it would make good use of the V1000's design. The closest thing would be the TT Sonic Tower (sorry for mentioning so many TT products, I'm no fanboy but TT has so many kinds of vertical heatsinks, if you guys can find me a better equivalent please let me know!), which is supposed to be a passive cooler but it comes with fan holders for 120mm fans. The thing is fugly as hell so if I ever got one, instant homemade shroud. But I imagine it cools like a beast.

But personally I think none of the current vertical heatsinks are really optimal yet, and they need some work before being able to stack up against some of the worlds best horizontal heatsinks such as Thermalright's XP-series, most current verticals are heavy, tall (meaning lots of pressure on the motherboard) and basically barely cool as well as the XPs. Ah well.
