Need to buy one for my sister who has a Mac. 40-80GB. Anyone know of any cheap solutions that will work with a mac?

Cheap int. 40-80GB HD + DIY HD enclosure FTW IMO :)

Just built a 160 gig external for 100 bucks. The wife's mac had trouble reading it though, perhaps cuz of the NTFS format? I duno, I wasn't home when she tried.

Should be read-only. What version OS on the mac?

No clue whatsoever. Probably osx 10. I know all but nothing about macs.

If you format it fat32 it'll be readable & writable by both Windows and macs...might save some headaches.
