i really need one, check out my situation:
i have at present 340$, and i hope to collect some more by sellin some electronics around the house ;).....i have 2 choices on wht to spend the money on......
my present 3dcard sucks (s3 savage4) and to play the latest games is a TERROR! the games dont even recognize the card, eg nhl 2002, max payne, spiderman etc.

1)so im plannin on doin an upgrade fer my pc....a radeon 8500, 60gb hdd, and a 512ddr ram stick
2)and im even thinkin of a PS2, cuz all the games comin out now are wOOt, and also i know of a place where i can get backup copies fer like 5$.....heheh

so i figured, if i do the PC upgrade AND get the ps2 emulator, i could have top-of-the-line hardware to go with it..........well, so wht do guyz suggest i do? (actually, i already know wht i want to do, only if someone could point me to an emulator!)

To emulate the hardware of the PS2, you'll need an extremely powerful system to get a decent framerate. Don't expect an emulator to appear within the next 5 years.

As for the XBox, owners of systems based on x86-architecture will be able to play XBox games on their system within the next 2 years.

They're working on it. Nemu is a nice one, though.

True, but at least with NES emulators it's the time spend on programming which is lacking, and not the hardware the emulators run on.

screw the n64, they run on catridges....but there are SO MANY dreamcast and PSX emulators, thats exactly why i had hoped there would be one fer the PS2..........
