Anyone know of a website or free software for picture editing? Having problems

I've been trying to upload my pictures, but they are all too large. I've tried editing in MS paint, but it's too frustrating. Am I missing something? Anyone have any suggestions to get my image file size smaller.......free image hosting sites? Software?

What form are they in? JPGs and GIFs are usualy very small. There are a couple people on this board who offer free picture hosting. Try notfred's site.

The best for general viewing & resize software that I have seen is Irfanview, and Gimp if you want a free full blown image editing package.
