That post makes very little sense. You mean defragment right?

I assume he's trying to benchmark several different defragmenting programs by refragmenting various files in the same way.

use an unlocked pci sata controller, and start cranking up the fsb. that oughta fragment it a bit.

Doesn't doing large file copies in parallel usually mess things up a bit? As in, the filesystem tries to write everything at the beginning of the open space and ends up interleaving all the streams? I've got no proof of that, that's just how I remember it working from when I tried it out long ago.

That's corruption, not fragmentation.

Probably, but that wouldn't fragment them the same way every time though.

As for the OP:

I'm not aware of any programs that do such a thing.
