Anyone know of a listing of graphic cards 3d effects?

Most effects in modern games are accomplished through vertex/pixel shaders, and sometimes using a bunch of fixed T&L functions. But all these effects are programmed by the developers, not built into the gfx cards themselves, so listing all of them would probably take forever, and still you wont know what new effects they'll come out with in the next game.
