i bought a rio mp3 cd player from circuit city. Complete piece of garbage. 80% of the time it wouldn't read the mp3 disc. Half the time it would only locate 20 of the mp3's. It wouldn't even play regular cd's consistently.

So I returned it and got a $50 Sony discman (one of those fancy colored ones) which I thought would be fine since it only played regular cd's and is made by a good name brand. I was wrong. I can't even walk with it without constant skipping (that is with esp enabled)

so can anyone recommend me one?

this is what i'm looking for:

- Price around $50
- Only needs to play regular cd's
- good sound quality
- comes with good quality headphones (i don't like those little turd things that you put in your ear)

any help is appreciated. thanks

Dunno, try Panasonic maybe? I've only used mp3/CD players the last couple of years.

I used Phillips Jogproof for couple of years now and they are solid. The ESP actually work (I took the cd out and it played for over 40 seconds), and I always walk around with it in my pocket banging against my leg and it doesn?t skip.

I bought mine from wall mart for $70 CAD, they should have a newer model out now (prolly a lot cheaper now).
