Anyone know of a good free web hosting services?

Storage space is not important 12-20 megs should be sufficient. Once must have is that they must allow FTP uploads. Some other good things to have are:
- Frontpage extensions
- ability to run Flash, although I'm not sure if there are any necessary server-side requirements for this?

Basically I have a friend who is working on his car and would like to get a site up for it to show off his work. I'm gonna help him out with it obviously, but would like some input. We currently have a Freeservers.com account, but it doesn't allow FTP transfers. Any input would be appreciated, and of course, many thanks to AT posters. 🙂

Netfirms.com allows ftp uploads, and supplies 25mb of space, IIRC. Not sure about the other requirements.

signing up doesnt seem to be working, and not sure about frontpage extensions, but check out Port5.com in a few days. no banner ads that i know of. 15mb storage, ftp, and flash..

n/m. only 100MB transfers a month.. 🙁

you can get subdomain.netfirms.com.. goto here.. and on the left, there are "Signup options". click "Freename Subdomain" which should allow you to choose a subdomain name. 🙂

yeah, netfirms gives out free accounts as well, if you dont mind having thier name in your url.

my bro was telling me before that you can get a domain name registered (some offbeat one like .ws or something) for free.. there is a popup ad when you go to the website though.. ill post it once i find out (bro is out atm)
