I'm looking to find a cheaper energy supplier. Yes, I realize I'll still get the delivery charges from Con-Ed, and that their delivery charges alone are more than the entire electric charges for most regions.

Looked at every supplier listed on poweryourway.com, and the few that will give a quote without signing up for spam are all around Con-Ed's summer rates even for this time of year, which is about 50% MORE than the current highway robbery of a bill. (Unfortunately it will still be con-ed's meter and therefore read 3x the kWh actually used, no?)

Are there any suppliers that you can switch to from ConEd that charge reasonable rates? Hell, are there even any below a $0.15/kWh base supply charge before the other BS and the $0.08/kWh for delivery is added in?

Preferably one with a fixed rate rather than variable, as my usage is more than 4x higher in the summer.

Most people that switch to ESCO's usually switch back after a few months. There have been a few ESCO's in NY going around pretending they're from your utility to take a look at your bill then try to talk you into switching. It's mainly the elderly that get fooled into switching...then they call our call center all confused when they find out they are no longer buying from the utility.

You know it's no good when the new energy companies are signing up new salemean with no experience needed and promising big pay.
