Anyone know of a good chart to compare all the Canon DSLR's over the past 3 or so years?

Specifically the spec/feature differences between the;

XT
XTi
XS
XSi
T1i

Trying to find a quick chart to see where each of the cameras fall amonst each other.

Thanks everybody! I sold my Nikon gear (D80) a few months back when times were tight. Looking to get back into the hobby on the Canon side of the aisle, just to change things up a bit.

I def. want to stick with SD card support, so that narrows my choices to the newer models (XS, XSi, T1i). Video would be awesome, but I can live without it, especially if I'm looking to go used and can pick up and XS or XSi for half the price of a T1i. I can always upgrade the body later.

So the biggest diff between the XS and the XSi appears to be MP (which I don't care about), the 2 extra AF points (which I wouldn't use much), and the larger LCD (which I def. would find handy). I think i'm leaning XS for now.

XS also has a crappier viewfinder unfortunately. To me, that's a big killer. also, have you tried these out in the stores? they're tiny compared to the D80... if you're going used, maybe a 30D instead? but if you're comfortable w/ the size, I'd get an XSi over the XS, esp used, you can find some great deals on it.

The XS also only has an f/5.6cross type center AF point while the XSi is f/2.8. I find this to be a big step up for myself since all my glass is f/2.8. XSi also has spot metering (why this isn't on every single camera I don't know, it should be).

Hmmm, didn't realize that. I did enjoy the big bright viewfinder of the D80. Looking around a bit more, I guess i'll throw the Nikon D5000 in the mix as well. I previously used a Tamron 17-50 f/2.8 and loved it, i'll likely go back into the same lens or similar.

I'm looking to go small/light this time around, so the 30D is out from the get go.

ah, gotcha. Any reason you're not looking at the micro 4/3's systems? the 2x crop factor does suck, but the G1/GH1(ok, GH1 is a bit expensive since it's coupled w/ that superzoom HD lens) is tiny, and the new E-P1 (and whatever else might come along the same lines) is damn appealing. Once the price goes down some, I'm buying one to compliment my canon system, heh.

Though cost would be a factor now, but the new K7 is also appealing in that it's small AND built well.

Though, I think the D80 had a pretty good viewfinder if I recall, one that trumps anything in the rebel line.

D80 viewfinder is a pentaprism design, just like the one on the D200. The only way you'll get a viewfinder that nice on the Canon side is to get something like a 40D.

If you're getting Nikon, remember that your lens choices are more limited, especially if you value fast/quiet AF. Nikon lenses also tend to be more segregated in price...it's either low-end or very high end; not much of a midrange there.

sorta, I was under the impression it's close, but not quite. hence they still have spot metering.
