Anyone know of a current program like Back Orifice?

I have used Back Orifice in the past for "remote computer management", but now it is detected as a virus. Mainly I'm looking for a program so a supervisor at my company can monitor a certain employee's PC in realtime (like shadowing in Terminal Services/citrix) but it has to be without the users knowledge. I don't want to start a thread about "big brother" and how this shouldn't be done, but since I have been ordered with the task I would like to find a good solution

I am aware that SMS will do the job, but that's quite a big task/overhead to use for only a brief time, and I didn't think there were any versions of VNC that will run in "stealth" mode so the end user isn't aware it's running, but I will check into the two suggested ones.

Remote desktop locks the local PC when you logon with it, not sure how this is going to help out in this situation?

Now it's been detected as a virus? It's been listed as a virus for like 10 years.
