Is it faster than the SMC? I'm talking about latency and responsiveness because it seems that SMC has the highest latency (hence is the slowest) compared to the Linksys and Neatgear models.
 
I got a Hawking router over the summer, but I wish I'd waited for the SMC. It is a switched router so it can distribute data faster than the Hawking which is not switched. It also has a few additional features that the Hawking des not. (VPN, serial, print server port)

The Hawking does allow for internal servers to be visible to the public internet, but overall I think the SMC is faster and has more functionality.
