I've been trying to learn it but it's pretty confusing and at times, dull. I know the finished product is a payoff which is why I'm trying to learn it. Any tips or websites that'll help?

It confused the hell out of me last time I tried to learn it. I'm gonna give it a go again sometimes soon.

If you BUY it with the cs it comes with a book.

If you didn't, a quick search on Kazaa will find you very good introductory pdfs

I tried working with the Personal Learning Edition for a bit, but it just seemed harder to use than 3dsmax. Some say it's more powerful, though, so I would like to learn it sometime (in my spare time).

Yeah sure, and I suppose all those MP3s you downloaded off Kazaa are personal learning editions too.

Don't be so quick to judge.

I happen to know that the $7,000 version of Maya called Maya Unlimited 4.5 is on Kazaa. It comes with the crack. Just download it and crack it. Since it is so easy to get the $7,000 version why would I believe he has the Personal Learning Edition? I don't believe it for a second.

I'm glad you think I am idiot. That way you wouldn't ever suspect me of committing anything clever, thus I could get away with stuff right under your nose. Its the perfect setup.

Apparently you're too ignorant to believe that there are actually people in the world who would use legal software instead of illegal software, even if the latter offered advantages or was easier to get.

True, he may be lying, but I have to give him the benefit of a doubt.

Economics says that consumers will get products at the lowest possible price they can. Since you can get it for free that is what we have to assume he got the product for, free. Economic theory has nothing to do with ethics. People will get away with whatever they can.

Thats economic theory and not law. There are exceptions to this theory. I still pay for games. I know that a quick search on kazaa / Direct Connect would get me the same game in about a half hour. I still dont do this.
