I keep getting a marketing call from 866-877-9755 asking to make a "donation" for our local fire fighters, I know it's B.S. since I looked it up and that same number calls asking for donations for Toys for Tots or whatever else they feel like saying it's for.

I've told them over and over again to remove me from their calling list and am registered with the "do not call" list yet these fvckers call at least 3-4 times a day and most of the time when I pick up, the call just hangs up without anyone saying anything, then out of one of these calls someone will go on asking for a donation, each time promise they'll remove our number, but then it happens all over again.

Any idea?

Won't stop calling even though I asked them to remove me
I'm also signed up for the national "Do not call" list

I'll try it, but keep hearing that they're going to be allowed to call cell phones soon also.

I even filed a complaint with the official "Do not call" site, so I'll if that anything comes from that.

You could talk dirty to them and maybe they'll stop calling?
Or record some god awful noise and play it back into the mic on your phone.

I can't see them being allowed to call cell phones until there is no longer a charge on any cell phone carriers plan for incomming calls. Otherwise there will always be enough complaints to keep that from being allowed or at least profitable.

If it's a landline I think it can be blocked. Not sure about cell lines. I kept getting spam calls on my cell, and when I called Verizon, the rep told me they don't possess the ability to block specific numbers on cells yet, and my only options were to change my number or ignore the calls.

Call the phone company. There is a way to block the calls iirc but you have to pay for the service.
