I need to know if Win 2K supports most USB devices & if the performance is good. (USB cameras, scanners, etc...)
Any one know?

Just make sure that the particular USB device you want to use has 2K support/drivers.

USB support in W2K is far superior to that of W98(SE), IF you have a device that has supporting drivers.

Works fine with my usb speakers, scanner, cdrw, FF steering wheel (minus the force feedback.) USB under WIN2K is just as good as WIN98.

Works well for me too but I had trouble with HP printers since they initially didn't have 2000 support. Now they do though so all is fine.

ditto. all USB stuff is smooth as silk for me, assuming the mfg has win2k drivers available.

Just make sure your equipment has drivers for it. I had a SmartMedia reader which said win2k supported, but the drivers were BETA and did not work. I tried another company's smartmedia card reader but it didn't work neither. I'm still looking for one.
Other than that, all my USB Stuff works great. Logitech optical mouse here.

Uhh my HP 812C is automatically detected on the USB, and the drivers for it as well as the 810C are selected. All I have to do is select the 812C drivers (evidentally windows cant decide between 810C and 812C), and the printer works flawlessly.

Under Win98SE my Creative Webcam GO USB was completely unstable.
However, it hasn't crashed once so far in Windows 2000...although Creative's Windows 2000 drivers for this are probably better then the 98SE equivalents.
I would have to agree with what has been said so far - USB support is great, and I'm using a Super 7 board too which is further testament to Win 2K's support for USB devices.

I'd like to thank all of you for the info. (Thank You)

The company I currently work for is going to be upgrading all the systems from nt4 to Win2k & I just wanted to know if we would all be able to finally use USB devices.

Thanks again. :)
