Anyone know if the cpu retention bracket for the XP90 will work with SI 120?

Hi..I am getting an opteron 165...shipped from monarch today...here's hoping for good stepping

anyway I have an XP90 but figure the extra heat from dual may warrant a upgraded HSF...SI 120 with Nexus fan vs XP90 and Vantec 92mm stealth fan

I wanted a Ninja but I am afraid its size with my DFI SLI -DR and Artic cooler silencer on my X800XL may not work together because of the backplate on the videocard

They should be compatible with each other, but it's not a big deal if you have to change them. I mean, all you have to do is unscrew two screws to get the retention module off, you don't even have to remove the motherboard.

hmm..forgot I did not need to remove the mobo..thats the only reason I asked

I have the Si-120 w/ Nexus fan combo and am having issues with keeping the fan attached to the heatsink. The clips don't hold well due to the construction of the fan. It has since fell off 3X while I was there and it scares me a bunch. Scared me so much that I ordered a Panaflo fan just in case. I will try and modify the fan retension clips to hold better but for now, the fan has to go. I would hate to see my x2 4400 up in smoke.
