Anyone know if it is possible to pre-order a PS3 yet?

I have the money to pre-order one and get about half of it paid off right now and dont need the money for anything else. So does anyone know if bestbuy or FYE or any gaming store is offering pre-orders yet?
 
It isn't, at least not for a known price from a reputable vendor. All the deal sites will be chock full o' links once you can do it in another month or two.
 
Went to EB Games on the day they announced how many are gonna be produced worldwide, and they said they weren't even sure if they'd be able to get one per store.
