I was playing a demo of battlefield 1942 the other day(awesome game!) but while I was playing it, my mouse quit moving. So I exited out, and my mouse still didnt work in windows. So I rebooted. When I did, my bios popped up a message saying that my CPU was to hot, I checked on the hardware tab, and it was at about 170 degrees. I opened the case up and put a fan on it, let it cool down, and it seems to be running fine now, except every 10-15 seconds, my mouse still quits moving and jumps around. I downloaded and am running Hardware sensors monitor(http://www.hmonitor.com/) and my normal CPU temp, not running anything is 140 degrees, but the Core and Aux keep jumping from 1.81 to 1.79, and when they go to 1.79, the boxes turn red... I dont know much about the powersupply and stuff, and with the temperature jumping up that high from a game, I figured i'd post in the overclocking section of anandtech. I don't overclock my comp though. Its a newly built AMD 2100+(retail box, using the heatsink and cpu fan that came with it), ASUS A7V333, 512MB PC2700 DDR Ram, GeForce2 GTS 64MB. I have a Antec case(the grey kind with the latch handle side panel) with 300W power supply. It ran fine with my last computer, AMD 1Ghz, without overheating or anything. I was also running a P400 in the room, and it wasnt even hot at all. Any suggestions as to why my mouse jumps, or if that Core voltage is to low/high? Thanks!
