Anyone know if I can use the Rockband guitars on Guitar Hero 3?

GH3 guitars work in Rock Band, although they lack the solo keys and what not.

Harmonix has a patch to make them work on the PS3, but Activision is blocking it unless Harmonix pays Activision for doing nothing, on top of you already paying for GH3.

Harmonix has also offered to help Activision to use RB guitars in GH3, for free, but Activison says no way, we want people to buy 2 copies of GH3 instead. Gives us your monies!!!

Activision apparently doesn't like you, just your money.

That's the way Activision wants it to be, as I mentioned above Harmonix offered to help Activision make them work, for free, but Activision had no interest in it.

Well the PS3 has been having more controller incompatibilities than the PS2... so it may just work. However I really don't know.

There were articles on this a week or so back. IIRC, GH3 works with Rock Band for X360, but NOT for PS3 cause of Activision. Not sure about vice versa.

ok, i tested a GHII on Rockband for 360 and it works. It DOESN'T work the other way around.
