So I've got a few extra parts laying around and I want to put them to good use doing an AT DC project. I'll have 3 extra systems (Duron 1100, Athlon 1000, and AXP 3200+) but I don't want to have 3 full cases sitting there. So here's my plan:
Get 6-8 12-16" long threaded rods and a bunch of nuts for them. I'll put a single nut on each rod, then slip the rods through the mounting holes on the first motherboard (rubber spacers prolly too), to rest on the nuts. Then another series of nuts and then another motherboard, more nuts, last motherboard. I'll get some kind of box with some padding for noise, cut out fan holes etc etc...
I'm too lazy to call home depot (can't right now anyways) and don't want to waste a trip down there, but does anyone know if they have 16" threaded rods that will fit through the mounting holes on a motherboard?
