Anyone know if freezing cold temps are bad for monitors?

I have two sitting out in my car right now and it's like 10 below outside... it would be a shame if they got ruined.

I honestly don't intend to sound like an asspound, but if you're even slightly concerned about your monitors, why don't you just go out to the car and haul 'em in? I realize it's -10, but I'm sure it wouldn't kill you in the minute or two it would take to bring them inside.

LCD or CRT?

Doesn't matter.

Every manual for every LCD monitor I've seen has stated not to expose it to temperatures below 0 to -5 degrees F.

Well, when they ship LCD monitors/TVs to my old store at -40 they don't heat the trucks. They come up in a truck on a 360 mile run that takes 7 hours or so... then they sit outside in a trailor waiting to be moved to another cold truck and delivered to my store. And after cold soaking at -40 for a day and a half... they always work just fine.
