Anyone know if Eragon the movie is only about the first book

I'm assuming that the movie is just about the content thats in the first book but haven't seen if that is the case for sure or not.

Anyone know for sure?

The best way to answer that question is to say its content is pulled out of somebody's butt. It has a dragon in it and the people have the same names but they pretty well screw everything else up. If you have read the book only go to the movie if you like going to movies to complain about how bad they screwed the book up.

When the egg hatched and there was the scene with the dragon flying up and growing up real fast, I thought that was like a time lapse or whatnot, then she flies down and it's been what, like a whole 10 seconds? That was when it really set in that it wasn't gonna be what I was hoping for.

Thats where the movie kinda fell apart for me too. I was looking forward to watching Saphira grow, her CG was excellent.

I think book 2 is still in hardcover, but once its in paperback, I'll read it. Anyone know if they plan on continuing making Inheritance movies? Might depend on how well Eragon sells.

If you hadn't read the book first then the movie is decent enough. You'll be entertained at least. But if you've read the book first then this movie is a major butcher job of the book.
