Yes well I know all that. I just thought maybe someone had had a similar malady and could shed I bit of light on what it COULD be. You know, so I can actually SLEEP at night until I can get it looked at. 😛

Most people don't like to discuss their strange growths on internet message boards. Why do you think we have so few "OMGWTFBALLZ!!11oneone: MY TEST3S JUST DROPPED!" threads? 😉

I've had this little lump on my neck for quite awhile now, and over the last few days it's started to really hurt. No pain at all before that. I'm hoping it's just some sort of cyst or something...

Update:

Good news: It's not a tumor, just a abscess so I'll be around to post more jokes.

More jokes? Oh, no! 😀

Glad you are OK.

Side of your neck? Could be a lymph node. Mine get painful when I'm fighting off a cold.

No, it's actually on the back of my neck, right side.

it's a lizard egg growing just under your skin, soon to hatch and then the lizard will burrow out and grow to enormous size and then terrorize the population of a medium to large city near you.

my dad can drain that for you

I went to the "free health" clinic this morning and had it drained. I now have a hole on the back of my neck stuffed with gauze so it can continue draining over the weekend. Tues I go back and get it checked again. He also gave me antibiotics.

Dunno. But whatever's in there is gonna burst out laughing.

😛

Ah, hopefully the draining will be the end of it. I once had a cyst on the back of my knee excised. However the stitching was shoddy so the wound opened and clear watery liquid started pouring out for a while. :Q But it's been fine since then.

So I had to go back to the Doc. today and get my dressing changed (though I had done it a few times since Friday) and get it looked at again. Tunes out there WAS a cyst and it had become infected (didn't know this kind of stuff happened) so today he got the cyst out and repacked the hole in my neck. :disgust:

Hopefully one more trip and I'll be all well again. 🙂
