Anyone know how you can find out what type of CDRW you have by the serial #?

I bought a 52x Memorex drive from OD and got it today. I want to check to see if its a Lite-On. Where can I go to type in the S/N and find out? Is it at the Memorex website?

check the ide devices under you bios when booting up, it may tell you
my epox lists brand and type of ide device in the bios, and shows my buslink to be a liteon
