Anyone know how to unlock a P3-600E?

I finally got my Dell System working (got it for $300 from our office excess inventory clearance - SPEC3-600/128/10gb/3comNIC/19"Monitor)

Anyway, does anyone know how to unlock this CPU? The bus only goes up to 100mhz so that's a lost cause.

P3's cannot be unlocked.. only AMD chips can

I was afraid of that

So my best bet would be to just get an 850 right? The board only has 8.5x multipliers and that's as high as i can go.

Since Intel processors are mutliplier locked, the settings your motherboard is capable of is irrelevent, since the processor will ignore those settings and use its own multiplier. Therefore you can use a processor of any multiplier on that board.

if you are unable to clock your bus further than 100MHz yes you will need to either get a new cpu, a new motherboard, or replace motherboard + cpu as a whole.
