Anyone Know How To Tweak Nvidia Drivers

Anyone know how to tweak drivers like TweaksRus does for the XG drivers? I didn't know it would be bad to ask them, but it seems they're not interested in sharing how they do it.

I mean I'm not out to steal anyones job, I just thought it would be nice to make my own tweaks is all, and if some day I ever could help to contribute make the gaming world a better place, then so be it.

THANKS

good question. I'd like to know too.
did you read the guides at TweakRus? They might have some answers.

No they don't have any guides on this, I mean they're not telling what tools, etc., you need. 🙁

I wish it was that easy, LOL

No clue here? On what appears to be some sort of black art, that no one is willing to share any information on?

Actually ALL I want to know is what tools would one use to edit the nvidia files? That's it, I didn't mean to imply I wanted to know in what way to make tweaks, I just needed to know what tools one uses to do this with is all.

You can't modify nVIDIA's files. They are heavily encrypted. The folks at tweaksrus and elsewhere don't modify the files, the modify the settings and parameters. For that you'll need notepad (for .inf and .ini editting) and regedit for the registry, which is where all the magic happens. If you really want to look at the other files, try something like Hex Workshop.

I thought I wanted to know. now I guess it wouldn't do me any good even if I did. LOL.

The .ini and .inf files are pretty straight forward, however you would have to know what you wanted to tweak. You cant just add a line of code in there or something and expect if to be improved in some way. I think most Tweaked drivers are merely SSE/SSE2/SSE3, 3dNow, capable. I cant remember exactly what other tweaks they do at XG. You can PM "TweaksRUs" here at AT or you can hop over to their forums and ask JRDIST or Daishi, or even GeforceTony.

As for the other files, well; just dont go there. Unless you know Nvidia's code, and have their developer kit and what not, you wont do any good.

Mess around in the .ini and .inf files, its pretty fun once you can get something to really start to work.
