Anyone know how to trick FTP U/D ratio's??

First off, I'd like to say what you're doing is wrong. If the admin finds out, he'll surely ban your IP. Second, I understand that the closest theater is 3 hours away playing Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon but I suggest you refrain from discussing this on here since these rips are illegal.

But as cool as warez are they're illegal. On top of that, trying to work around a ratio is just plain sad. I'm sure they have a Blockbuster or a library in Pennsylvania. Go read a book or watch some pr0n or something.

I remember running into a ratio server once. I named the same small file about 20 differnt names and used that. Bah, ratios

I'm not sure how that would work...a faked size filestamp?

You could possibly find a utility to add blank/repeated characters to the end of a file, zip that up where it'd compress into a fairly tiny file, and upload that over quickly...though it'd stay a small size until unzipped, at which point it could balloon up to whatever size you wanted. Guess that's not that handy after all.

What do you mean &quot;nope...&quot; EnragedPC? The ones who run the FTP servers aren't stupid. They have logs and if they see you trying to upload bogus files, they WILL ban you. If you're going to do it, you better succeed the first time and not plan on going back onto that FTP server.
