Anyone know how to remove the dual OS boot screen on XP during bootup?

I am trying to find out if you can edit dos to remove the OS (choose which operating system) on bootup. I don't want to have to reformat and reinstall WINXP if I can avoid it. I'm trying to get rid of the screen that allows you to choose which OS to boot into.

Somewhere on the drive there are a few OS files from Windows 98 (botched install-never fully installed). I was thinking perhaps I could just delete the files for the second OS (Windows98) in dos.

Anyone know how to do this?

Thanks

This is not General Hardware related.

In XP you can set the time the boot screen is displayed.

Control Panel
System
Advanced
Startup and Recovery-Settings
System Startup-Look for 'Time to display list of operation systems'

Also, you will see an 'Edit' button which will give you access to boot.ini
