Anyone know how to remove AS epoxy from a video card?

Please LMK. I need some help here guys, I have heard that Acetone works as well as fine grit sandpaper but I really don't want to do that. Please, I need some help here.
 
I actually use a wide razor blade to scrape thermal epoxy off. I also use some isopropyl rubbing alcohol to loosen it up a bit, then scrape some more then rub the rest off. Just be sure not to damage anything surrounding the core though.
