Anyone know how to remove an AGP retention mechanism?

I am trying to remove this from my Iwill mobo to clean some of the dust and dirt that has built up under it. I am having a heck of a time trying remove it. Please LMK how you guys do it. Thanks in advance😀

Uhh, I wouldn't do that. Not unless you have an AGP Pro card. That is what it is there for; to keep other cards (non AGP Pro) in place and keep them from moving about when you move the system. IF you remove it, it will not go back in. Disclaimer: There are some who have removed this and had no real problem. As long as you don't move the system around alot you might be OK. I really don't know for sure as I have not tried it. To be on the safe side, just blow around it with the canned air to get the dust and leave it in place.

Yes, I know it needs to be there and plan on putting it back on. The guy I got the the motherboard from put it on backwards so that is why I need to remove it.

I'm afraid you got me on that one. I had no idea it would even go back on. Maybe that is why he installed it backwords. 🙂 I'd have him do it. That way if he makes a mistake it won't cost you. If that is not possible, someone else here will have to help. I've never messed with mine and don't plan to: Sorry.
